Select the cell that contains the formula you want to move. Click Home Cut (or press Ctrl + X). Select the cell you want the formula to be in, and then click Paste (or press Ctrl + V). Verify that the cell references are still what you want.
Select the cell with the formula and the adjacent cells you want to fill. Click Home Fill, and choose either Down, Right, Up, or Left. Keyboard shortcut: You can also press Ctrl+D to fill the formula down in a column, or Ctrl+R to fill the formula to the right in a row.
Unlike relative references, absolute references do not change when copied or filled. You can use an absolute reference to keep a row and/or column constant.
As you know, the Standard Error = Standard deviation / square root of total number of samples, therefore we can translate it to Excel formula as Standard Error = STDEV(sampling range)/SQRT(COUNT(sampling range)). For example, your sampling range is paced in the Range B1:G4 as below screenshot shown.
Press F2 (or double-click the cell) to enter the editing mode. Select the formula in the cell using the mouse, and press Ctrl + C to copy it. Select the destination cell, and press Ctl+V. This will paste the formula exactly, without changing the cell references, because the formula was copied as text.
If you do not want cell references to change when you copy a formula, then make those cell references absolute cell references. Place a $ before the column letter if you want that to always stay the same. Place a $ before a row number if you want that to always stay the same.
#1 Enter Edit Modes with F2 If the cell contains a formula, you will see the formula in the cell and be able to edit it. This is the same as double-clicking the cell with the mouse. Sometimes you might want to select a cell/range with arrow keys to change a reference.
You can use the AND, OR, NOT, and IF functions to create conditional formulas. For example, the IF function uses the following arguments. logicaltest: The condition that you want to check. valueiftrue: The value to return if the condition is True.
