Add fonts to Google Docs Visit Google Docs on the web and sign in with your Google account details. Select the + icon in the lower-left corner to create a blank document, or pick one of the built-in Docs templates. Select the Fonts drop-down list at the top. Click More fonts.
On your Android phone or tablet, open a document in the Google Docs app. Tap Edit . Double-tap the place in your document you want to edit. Move the blue markers to select more text. Tap Format. tap Text. In the menu, tap Style, Font, Size, Text color, or Highlight color to format your font.
Its possible to add a font to Google Docs in two simple ways. You can select More fonts from the main font list, and add a font to that primary tab within Google Docs. You can also download the Extensis Fonts add-on to add hundreds of additional fonts to Google Docs.
Click the Font drop-down menu (it probably says Arial on your document, as thats the default for Google Docs) on the Google Docs toolbar. Then click on More fonts to open a pop-up window. From there, you can select a full collection of Google fonts to add to the Docs Font drop-down menu.

With the text selected, use the Font options drop-down to select the font you want to use as your default font in Google Docs. Next, click the Styles drop-down menu and hover over Normal text. Select Update Normal text to match. This will apply your chosen font as your new default font when typing normal text.
To add new fonts: In the toolbar, open the Font menu and click More fonts at the top. This will open a new window with hundreds of available fonts. Optional: Use the search and filtering options at the top of the window to narrow your search. Click a font to add it. When youre done adding fonts, click OK.
