To create a hanging indent on a works cited page, ensure your ruler is visible by checking "Show ruler" under the View menu. For multi-line entries, avoid using the Enter key to start a new line; instead, maintain the lines together without interruption. Select the desired text area by clicking and dragging with the left mouse button. Then, move the cursor to the ruler, where you will see a horizontal line and a triangle. Click on either and drag them to the right by half an inch to apply the hanging indent correctly.
