This webcast is the fifth in a series on evidence-informed public health. Previous sessions focused on defining the problem, literature search, critical appraisal, and synthesizing information. The current session discusses the adaptation process for applying relevant research to specific populations. If the research is deemed good and applicable, practitioners must consider additional factors in deciding whether to implement or discontinue an intervention. A tool named the Applicability and Transferability Tool has been developed and is available on their website, along with a paper explaining its systematic development. Additionally, a one-page guide is provided for practical application of the tool for individual interventions.
