You jog your laser to the position you want your job to start from, hit the Set Origin button, and then youre free to move the laser around again. If you specify User Origin as the Start From value, the laser will move back to that programmed location and start the cut from there.
We stated before that an ideal resolution for engraving your photo is at least 300 DPI. We recommend scanning your photos at a low resolution of 200 or 300 DPI to ensure that they are small enough to edit in your chosen graphics software.
For best results set the dpi resolution settings in the print driver to a mid-range of 500 or 600. Engraving photos at any resolution setting below 500 or 600 dpi will result in too many jagged pixels and the engraving wont have smooth gradations between dark and light areas.
However, if you have designed something with a different origin, LightBurn will then make that appear flipped on-screen when you change the origin. You will need to flip again to make it appear correct.
The simple answer is SVG. You should be able to use Inkscape files directly in LightBurn with the exception right now being for text entries.
How to Prepare Your Photo for Laser Engraving in Photoshop Download and Photoshop. Open the Image You Would Like To Prepare for Engraving. Create a Duplicate of the Image.
