The IRS doesnt provide a public database you can use to look up EIN numbers for your own company or others. However, you can look at your EIN confirmation letter or other places your number may be recorded, including previously filed tax returns or old financing documents.
If you made a mistake on your EIN application, such as if you listed a non-owner or officer in Item 3 or elsewhere, do not submit a new EIN application, Form SS-4. Instead, submit a letter to the IRS, preferably on your company letterhead.
While you have several options for changing your address with the IRS, you cant do it online. You can change your address with the post office online, which may update your address with the IRS.
A. IRS records will be updated immediately with your EIN. Simply call (800) 829-4933 and select EIN from the list of options.

The only way to get an EIN Verification Letter (147C) is to call the IRS at 1-800-829-4933. For security reasons, the IRS will never send anything by email.
