Make numerical suffixes superscript as you type Choose Numbers Settings (from the Numbers menu at the top of your screen). Click Auto-Correction at the top of the settings window. In the Formatting section, select the Superscript numerical suffixes checkbox.
For superscript, press Control-Shift-Command-Plus Sign (+). For subscript, press Control-Command-Minus Sign (-).
On a Mac its easy to remember if you just want the dot () and not a formatted list. Its Alt-8. Think of it as the alternative to the asterisk (which lives on the 8 key on most keyboards).
