Those plan partners are the Government of BC, the Union of BC Municipalities, and the Municipal Employees Pension Committee. The Municipal Pension Plan Board of Trustees approved the plan rule amendments in March, and the changes take effect January 1st of 2022. Any service earned before January 1st of 2022 is not affected by the new rules.
