so without further ado i will let katie take it away and introduce her work at lorraine county okay thank you so much this is really diving right into the topic but um the story for uh the adaptive courseware in my classroom began in in fall 2017. the textbook that i was using at the time uh had made available wileyplus adaptive practice as part of the suite of courseware that came with the textbook anyhow at the time i had been looking for uh something to sort of fill the gap between the section level homework and the high stakes exams at that time we had two big midterm exams and then a common final where each midterm covered about three chapters so you can imagine it was going 0 to 60 for these students and they were just blindsided a lot of times by those exams so i wanted to have something sort of to fill that gap i had already developed some lab assignments that were over uh chapters worth of material uh where they started to synthesize ideas but i think that that felt more like
