Change the column width to automatically fit the contents (AutoFit) Select the column or columns that you want to change. On the Home tab, in the Cells group, click Format. Under Cell Size, click AutoFit Column Width.
Adjust the row height to make all wrapped text visible On the Home tab, in the Cells group, click Format. Under Cell Size, do one of the following: To automatically adjust the row height, click AutoFit Row Height.
You may be unable to use the AutoFit feature for columns or rows that contain merged cells in Microsoft Excel. In addition, if the Wrap Text feature is also selected, text is not wrapped automatically.
Lets see how its done. Select the image. Right-click the image and then click Image options. This will bring the Image options menu. In Image options, go to the Text Wrapping tab. Select Behind text. Move your image behind the text by grabbing and dropping it where you want.
Now, Excel should also automatically adjust the row height to make all of the wrapped cell content visible. If it does not its because you have manually adjusted the row height (or the column width) yourself at some point. That sort of disengages the auto Wrap Text. NOTE: You can often toggle the auto text back on.
Removing a Text Wrapping Break Its easiest to remove a text wrapping break if you can see it, and to see it you need to turn on Show Hidden Characters under Home | Paragraph. Now you can see the text wrapping break, just click before the break symbol and hit Delete.
Wrap text: This option causes the text to wrap around the image. Use this option if you want to move the image to another location in the document. Break text: This option is like text wrapping, but the image will act as a breakmeaning text will only appear above and below the image, not to the left or right.
You can format a cell so that text wraps automatically. Select the cells. On the Home tab, click Wrap Text. The text in the selected cell wraps to fit the column width. When you change the column width, text wrapping adjusts automatically.
To insert a page break: Click Insert, then hover over Break. From the drop-down menu, select Page break. The page break will appear in the document.
