Bates Numbering (or Bates Stamping) assigns unique identifiers to each page in a collection of documents.Add Bates Numbers to a PDF. Open the file. Click Tools. Select Edit PDF. Choose More. Click Bates Numbering and Add. Select Output Options to customize the serial numbers. Click OK.

Bates Numbering, also known as Bates Stamping, is an indexing method used for legal, business and medical documents (PDFs in most cases). Bates Numbers are perceived as digital reference points used to uniquely identify and label each page in a set of documents.
Removing Bates Numbers on PDFs Open the file in PDF Reader Pro. Click Editor Select Bates Numbers Click Remove Bates Numbers Select your file and click Apply

You cannot edit Bates page numbering after youve added it to a document. You can, however, delete Bates numbering and apply a different Bates numbering formula.
So I went to Advanced -Document Processing -Bates Numbering and selected remove. That removed the Bates number. Acrobat is treating the footer text and Bates numbering as two separate items in the content. Ask your questions in Questions Answers or the docHub Forums.
