In this video, letamp;#39;s talk about how to best enter into SPSS multiple-choice item type data. First, letamp;#39;s be clear about when to use multiple choice items. Imagine you have created the following question for your survey. And this is an actual example from a student research project. This student is asking -- amp;quot; When you book hotel rooms for holidays, which booking channels do you use?amp;quot; Then, he offers three options -- website of the hotel, travel agencies, and booking sites. Before we talk about how to enter data collected from such an item, letamp;#39;s talk about whether or not this is a good item. My suggestion is -- no. I would revise this survey question into Likert scale items. Two things Iamp;#39;d change. One: Iamp;#39;ll change the amp;#39;youamp;#39; phrasing into an amp;#39;Iamp;#39; phrasing, and Iamp;#39;ll change multiple choices into Likert scales. So, instead of saying amp;quot; When you book hotel rooms for holidays, which booking

In addition, a description is provided for the four major types of infant-parent attachment, ie, secure, insecure-avoidant, insecure-resistant and insecure-disorganized. The antecedents and consequences of each of the four types of infant-parent attachment are discussed.
Attachment Styles are patterns of adaptive (i.e. sensible and helpful) ways for a child to respond and adapt to the environment into which they are born. Children develop their attachment styles by the age of 3 years old; this is often called the critical period (link to glossary) developing attachments.
What Is the Unhealthiest Attachment Style? Anxious attachment styles, disorganized attachment styles, and avoidant attachment styles are considered insecure/unhealthy forms of attachment.
Fearful-Avoidant, aka Disorganized Attachment The fearful-avoidant attachment style is the rarest, and develops when the childs caregivers the only source of safety become a source of fear, ing to the Attachment Project, an attachment style education site.
The concept of attachment styles grew from attachment theory and the research that emerged throughout the 1960s and 1970s. Today, psychologists typically recognize four main attachment styles: secure, ambivalent, avoidant, and disorganized.
The four types of attachment styles: secure. avoidant (aka dismissive, or anxious-avoidant in children) anxious (aka preoccupied, or anxious-ambivalent in children) disorganized (aka fearful-avoidant in children)
Ainsworths maternal sensitivity hypothesis argues that a childs attachment style depends on their mothers behavior towards them. Sensitive mothers are responsive to the childs needs and respond to their moods and feelings correctly. Sensitive mothers are more likely to have securely attached children.
Secure Attachment. Insecure/resistant (or ambivalent) attachment. Insecure/avoidant attachment. Disorganized/disoriented attachment.
