To declare a minor, visit the Academic Advisement Center, or make an appointment to speak with your academic advisor.
What does Declare a Minor mean? Declare a Minor means you wish to work towards earning a minor credential alongside your degree program. Who is eligible to add a Minor? You must be pursuing a baccalaureate degree if you wish to add a minor.
To declare or change a major, minor, or emphasis, fill out the SCU Registrars Program Petition form.
For these minors, complete the application form by logging in to my.newschool.edu, clicking on the Academics tab, and then clicking on the link to Major/Minor Declarations. To start a minor in the fall, submit an application by March 1. Notification of decision on minor applications happens by April 1.
