Sec. 601. (1) A person shall not engage in or attempt to engage in the practice of an occupation regulated under this act or use a title designated in this act unless the person possesses a license or registration issued by the department for the occupation.
Record the Claim of Lien in the County Register of Deeds where the Owners property is located, within 90 calendar days after last labor or material. Serve a copy of the recorded Claim of Lien on the Owners Designee within 15 days from date of recording by certified mail or personal delivery.
The filing fee, on a notice of lien, is $30.00 at the Register of Deeds office.
