Choose an IRS Free File option, guided tax preparation or Free File Fillable Forms. You will be directed to the IRS partners website to create a new account or if you are a previous user, log in to an existing account.
Personal computer users may download forms and publications from the IRS Web site at .irs.gov/formspubs/index.html. This site also has links to state tax forms and to forms that you can fill in online and then print.
Automatically fill a form Navigate to Transactions. Locate the transaction you need to automatically fill a form in, and click the name of the transaction. In the right-hand menu, click Forms. Locate the form you need to automatically fill in. Click more options . Click Auto-populate. Click save and exit.
Copies of forms, publications and other helpful information are also available around-the-clock at the IRS Web site at .irs.gov. You can call 1-800-829-1040 to get answers to your federal tax questions 24 hours a day. Tax forms and instructions for current and prior years are available by calling 1-800-829-3676.
Portable Document Format (PDF) Right click on the link, which is usually the item number (if your mouse is configured for left-handed operation use the left mouse button). Select Save Target As or Save Link As when presented with a menu. Use docHub Reader to open the file after downloading.
