The first method on how to make changes in your DS-160 form after submission is to use the Retrieve an Application option in the CEAC system. This option allows you to access your original application that you have submitted within the last 30 days and create a new application based on it.
Just submit another DS-160 and put that number. If the DS-160 confirmation number you entered is showing as already taken, it likely means that number has already been used to schedule a visa appointment.
You will need to fill out a new DS-160. After completing a new DS-160, please log into your ustraveldocs account, update the new DS-160 barcode number on your appointment at least three working days prior to your appointment date, and print out a new Appointment Confirmation Sheet.
You are the only one who can edit your DS-160. If you made a mistake that is material to your application and it is not corrected prior to your interview, you could be required to reschedule for another day, if the mistake is material to your application.
You cannot delete a DS-160 application. You can create a brand new DS-160 as part of a new visa appointment that you seek to make at a consular post. So deletion is not an option, but re-filing the application is allowed. Get help from an experienced immigration attorney on the nonimmigrant visa that you are seeking.
