While there is no official DBS expiry date, employers reserve the right to renew an applicants DBS check after a certain period of time. This renewal process timescale can vary; an employer could request a new DBS application every six months, whereas others could request one annually.
A reprint will not be provided if a paper copy of your certificate was not requested on the application form submitted for processing. If you do not have a DBS online account (or your DBS online account is not linked to your DBS profile), you can request a reprint of your certificate by calling us on 0300 0200 190.
An application for a DBS check can be withdrawn but the application fee is non-refundable. The DBS check can only be withdrawn before it docHubes printing stage. Any future need for a DBS check would have to be submitted as a new application, and a new fee payment would need to be made.
