Some units are able to board their applicants as soon as they get them. Others, based on mission requirements, can take a full 30 days or more to board. Once the board process is complete, State leadership will determine the priority of hiring and when the selected Soldier will be hired into the AGR Program.
Soldiers interested in applying must complete and submit an application packet found online at .hrc.army.mil/portal. AKO password or CAC is required. The requirements for AGR can also be found online at .apd.army.mil/pdffiles/r13518.pdf.
NGB Form 22 is the National Guard Report of Separation and Record of Service. Its one of the forms that members of the Guard can submit as proof of service and evidence that theyve served long enough to qualify for a VA loan for their home. Members of the National Guard are not required to complete NGB Form 22.

NGB Form 22 will confirm your character of service at the time of your discharge, while the NGB Form 23 will verify your total time as active duty.
