What is happening when Wheres My Refund? shows the status of my tax return is Refund Sent? This means the IRS has sent your refund to your financial institution for direct deposit. It may take your financial institution 1 5 days to deposit the funds into your account.
The main reason behind this can be - your refund was incomplete or incorrect. The delays can also occur if you must have claimed the Earned Income Tax Credit or Additional Child Tax Credit. After IRS accepts return, when will it be approved? After you e-file, the IRS takes 24 to 48 hours to accept your tax return.
Use the IRS Wheres My Refund tool or the IRS2Go mobile app to check your refund online. This is the fastest and easiest way to track your refund. The systems are updated once every 24 hours. You can call the IRS to check on the status of your refund.
TaxAct partners with Republic Bank Trust Company (member FDIC) to allow TaxAct program fees to be deducted from your tax refund. When you choose to have your TaxAct fees paid from your tax refund in the filing steps, you must accept the Refund Transfer Application and Agreement.
