Um, in the previous video I showed you cracking a password using pretty basic techniques, right? There are people who know more about this than me who run other custom dictionaries and rule-sets and things, right? Itamp;#39;s not really important for getting the message across of just how quick this is. Picking a good password was actually a lot easier than people make it. XKCD alluded to this and weamp;#39;ll talk about that in a minute. It didnamp;#39;t necessarily answer every question but it did get a good message across and then as other aspects should you reuse passwords and, and so on. Umm so letamp;#39;s address these. Password: m#P52s@ap$V This is a great example of a strong password. Its strong, long, and difficult for someone else to guess. It uses more than 10 characters with letters (both uppercase and lowercase), numbers, and symbols, and includes no obvious personal information or common words.
In the email, click Reset your password. If youre using a computer or an iOS device, enter a new password in the webpage that opens in your browser. If youre using an Android device, open the link using the When I Work app if youre prompted. Enter a new password, then tap in the top-right corner of the screen.
Try it! Sign in to office.com/signin with your work or school account. Go to Settings Password. Enter your old password. Create a new password and confirm it. Select Submit to finish and change your password.
Dont choose. Passwords of fewer than sixteen characters. Words or phrases that do not mix upper and lower case, or do not mix letters or numbers, or do not mix letters and punctuation. Your name in any form first, middle, last, maiden, spelled backwards, nickname or initials.
The longer a password is, the better. Use at least 16 characters whenever possible. Make passwords that are hard to guess but easy to remember. To make passwords easier to remember, use sentences or phrases.
Use a mix of alphabetical and numeric, a mixture of upper and lowercase, and special characters when creating your unique passphrase. Use unique passwords or passphrases: You should have a unique password for each of your accounts.
The key aspects of a strong password are length (the longer the better); a mix of letters (upper and lower case), numbers, and symbols, no ties to your personal information, and no dictionary words.
Legally, you can ask for the username or password from an employee when it comes to accessing work issued equipment, but under no circumstance are you allowed to ask for their personal usernames and passwords even if they use work-related computers and wireless devices.
