hi guys itamp;#39;s dan here and this is a short tutorial to show you how to fix search results in finder and spotlight so you might be familiar with a situation when you are searching for some file and even though you know the file is there or there is only one file with this name somehow you are not able to find it for example i have a bunch of files in my downloads folder and for example i will look for this pen practice ai so i will start typing pen prac and as you can see i can see a bunch of files but the one that i need is somehow nowhere to be found so letamp;#39;s try to fix that to make it easier you should have your hd in the sidebar so to add it here if itamp;#39;s not visible go to finder preferences and here under sidebar tab select hard disks and then it will show up here now go to system preferences look for spotlight go to privacy tab here click add and select your hard drive from the sidebar click ok and this means that all hard drive is excluded from the search re
