You can do that by dividing the document into sections. Heres what to do: 1. On the page before you want the header and footer to change, place the cursor and click Insert, Break, Section Break (next page).
Section Breaks in Google Docs Launch Google Docs and open the file you want to edit. Locate the page where you want to add a footer. Place your cursor right at the end of the previous page, just after the last sentence. Click on Insert at the top menu.
To use and see headers and footers, make sure your document is in pages format. Open a document in the Google Docs app. Tap Edit . In the top right, tap More . Turn on Print Layout. Tap the header or footer. Type the text you want in your header or footer.
Use different headers or footers per page or section Click a header or footer. To choose your header and footer layout, check the box: Different first page: Use different headers and footers on the first page of the document or section.
Click Insert, then hover over Headers footers. From the drop-down menu, you can select either Header or Footer. Depending on your selection, the insertion point will relocate to either the top or bottom margin of the page.
Double-click the header or footer you want to edit, or select Header or Footer, and then select Edit Header or Edit Footer. Add or change text for the header or footer or do any of the following: To remove the first page header or footer Select Different First Page.
A header is text that is placed at the top of a page, while a footer is placed at the bottom, or foot, of a page. Typically these areas are used for inserting document information, such as the name of the document, the chapter heading, page numbers, creation date and the like.
Go to Insert Header Footer. Add or header or footer text. Use the Options menu for additional customization. To exit, select Close Header and Footer or press Esc.
