As you work through the Army Cadet Syllabus and go up through the star levels you will get promoted to a higher cadet rank. Each star level has a different badge which you wear on your brassard, a kind of armband you wear over your uniform.
Most cadet ranks are standard non-commissioned ranks, prefixed by Cadet. The highest rank depends on the size of the contingent, but are usually Cadet Regimental Sergeant Major, (Army and RM Sections) and Cadet Warrant Officer (RN and RAF Sections).
A cadet is promoted to Corporal by their Commanding Officer (or a representative) if the OC considers them to have good skills and attitude and are capable of handling Parades (Drill); have good knowledge of the ATC at the minimum at First Class classification; and also good leadership, organisation and discipline.
Promotion and achievement do not come down to academic ability, and the cadets who excel are those who develop their teamwork, listening skills, self-discipline, organisation and commitment.
Community-Centric Fundraising is a fundraising model that is grounded in equity and social justice.
Prerequisites for Promotion Completed at least six months of service at the rank of Flight Sergeant; Have an attendance rating above 60%; Achieved a minimum of completed without difficulty in PO 503 (Leadership); Participated in the Cadet Fitness Assessment; and. Be recommended by a Merit Review Board.
