Subtitles on PowerPoint are textual representations that appear on your presentation slides, mirroring the words spoken by the presenter. Integrating PowerPoint subtitles is a strategic move to reinforce ideas, digest large amounts of text, and make presentations more accessible to a broader audience.
Go to Slide Show on the ribbon. Select From Beginning. In the bottom-left corner of your slides, note the presentation controls.
Heres how to do it: Insert the desired image into your presentation. Under Insert, in the Text group, click Text Box. Click and drag to draw a text box on the image. Add your text. With the text box still selected, go to Drawing Tools. There you can set font size, color, etc.
The predefined layouts include a Title slide to begin with, a general Title and Content layout, a side-by-side Comparison layout, and a Picture-with-Caption layout.
The Picture with Caption layout has a title placeholder, a caption placeholder and a placeholder for images. The Comparison layout has a title placeholder, two text placeholders and two content placeholders. Title placeholder: click on Click to.
Content With Caption: Contains two columns for text and content. The left column contains placeholders for text. The right column contains placeholders for images and illustrations. Picture With Caption: This slide layout is similar to the Content With Caption slide layout.
Set up captions and subtitles (Classic Ribbon) On the View ribbon tab, select Use Subtitles. Then click Subtitle Settings to open the menu of options. Use Spoken Language to see the voice languages that PowerPoint can recognize, and select the one you want.
