How can I hide information? Go to your Google Account. On the left, click Personal info. Under Choose what others see, click Go to About me. Below a type of info, you can choose who currently sees your info. Choose one of the following: To make the info private, click Only you. .
1. Remove Old Files Open Google Drive and click on the Last modified column to sort all files by date. Click on the Reverse selection arrow to show your oldest files first. Your subfolders will be shown first. Review the files and delete the ones you no longer need.
To pick a file, click it once. Then hit the Delete button at the top. You can also remove multiple files simultaneously. Click the first file and click on other files to select them while holding down the Ctrl or Command key.
2 Free up space in Drive Find and remove large files: Go to drive.google.com/drive/quota, where your files are listed in order from biggest to smallest. Right-click a file that you want to delete and then click Move to Trash.
Click Trash from the left navigation in Google Drive. Select the files you want to permanently delete. Click the trash can icon in the top right. Click Delete forever to confirm.
Use the File menu to select Download As and then choose a file format that doesnt include metadata, such as plain text (. txt) or PDF. This will remove any metadata that is stored with the document. Use a metadata removal tool.
Delete files by size in Google Drive Log into your Google Drive account. Click Storage in the menu on the left side of the screen. The Storage page should list your files from largest to smallest, but if not, click Storage used on the right side of the screen. Click on the large files you want to delete to select them.
Under People with access, click the permission level dropdown next to your name (It may display Editor, Viewer, or Commenter), then select Remove access. Click Save. Click Yes if prompted to confirm your removal. Click Ok.
