Providing RAW files without permission could result in copyright infringement or bdocHub of contract. In summary, photographers may not give their clients RAW files for various reasons, including preserving the integrity of their work, protecting their professional reputation, and adhering to legal agreements.
If you delete the RAW file, of course all the edits you did on the raw file will be deleted with the file but some may be present in the Jpg if they had been done in RAW prior to creating the Jpg from the RAW.
The bottom line. RAWs give you more information to work with, but you have to put more time into that work. If speed is of the essence, or you want a point-and-shoot experience that yields photos ready to use out of the box, JPEGs might actually be a better option than RAWs.
Raw files for images made in soft or low light should always looked washed out. Why? If they look good on the back of the camera, your image is well under-exposed. It will be nosier than properly exposed files, the colors will be muddier, and the file sizes will be smaller with less color information.
If you delete the RAW file, of course all the edits you did on the raw file will be deleted with the file but some may be present in the Jpg if they had been done in RAW prior to creating the Jpg from the RAW. However, those will not appear in the history panel of the Jpg.
RAW files require more memory storage than JPEG, PNG, BMP, and TIFF files, and a program must be used to open and edit the files. We recommend Imaging Edge Desktop software to display and edit RAW files once transferred to a computer.
A raw file is simply the raw, unedited data collected by the cameras sensor. Its not really even an image file yet just a matrix of numbers. Different brands and models save this info differently, and it needs to be decoded (using software such as Photoshop, Lightroom etc) before you can even visualise it.
