all right iamp;#39;m gonna talk about how to get rid of this weird gray shading that happens a lot of times when you copy and paste something from a website especially maybe a citation website uh youamp;#39;ll notice that behind this first citation there is this really annoying gray shading and itamp;#39;s a really weird thing that happens um iamp;#39;m going to show you three different tricks to try it all kind of depends on which browser youamp;#39;re using which version of word youamp;#39;re using which operating system youamp;#39;re using itamp;#39;s really kind of an annoying mystery that occurs here so let me uh select this the first thing you can try is to go to the highlighter up here and get rid of highlighting because itamp;#39;s kind of like a gray highlight is sometimes what itamp;#39;s in there as and if you go like this you can select no color and it might work but sometimes it doesnamp;#39;t work didnamp;#39;t work for me the second thing you can try is going

These are some steps you can follow to unhighlight text in Microsoft Word: Launch Word and find the text you want to unhighlight. Click on the highlighter tool and select No color Click and drag over the highlighted text to unhighlight it. Select all the text in the document to unhighlight.
Heres how it works: For highlighting, just click the down arrow next to Highlight and choose one of seven colors. Then youre good to go.
Deleting Highlighting on the Lexis App Tap the Highlighter icon at the beginning of the highlighted text. Tap Delete . Tap Delete when you receive the Are you sure you want to delete this highlight? prompt to delete the highlighting or tap Cancel if you do not want to delete highlighting.
Remove highlighting from part or all of a document Select the text that you want to remove highlighting from, or press Ctrl+A to select all of the text in the document. Go to Home and select the arrow next to Text Highlight Color. Select No Color.
How to unhighlight text in Word Launch Word and find the text you want to unhighlight. Click on the highlighter tool and select No color Click and drag over the highlighted text to unhighlight it. Select all the text in the document to unhighlight. To reapply highlighter, change the highlighter to a color.
Open the protected *. docx file having editable areas in Microsoft Word. Deselect the checkbox Highlight the regions I can edit in Review tab, in the Protect group, Restrict Editing. Then save the file.
Even if you leave the Selection Highlight function on, you may want to disable it temporarily - for example, if you want to see the actual display colors of lines and fills. To suspend Selection highlight, use the Ctrl/Alt + spacebar shortcut.
If its text shading the Text Highlight Color tool wont remove it but other colors will overprint it. Select the text, go to Format Borders Shading - Shading select No Color from the Fill list.
