What is Bates numbering? Bates numbering is a method of sequentially numbering pages with a reference identifier to make them easier to locate and reference. This could be as simple as sequential numbers like 0001 and 0002, or it may include alphanumeric strings (such as ABC0001 and ABC0002).
Bates numbering best practices Use the right number of digits. In Bates numbering, the number of digits in a number is often used to indicate how many pages are in a specific document set. Add extra information. Make sure each number is unique. Keep it consistent.
Remove PDF page numbers with docHub. From the Edit tool, select Header and footer, then Remove. Or, if you have text in your header and footers that you want to be sure to keep, select Update. Then delete the page numbers from their position in the text boxes in the window.
Choose View Line Numbers to display/hide line numbers.
Bates numbering is a method of indexing legal documents for easy identification and retrieval. Each page of each document is assigned a unique Bates number that also indicates its relationship to other Bates-numbered documents.
