Select the cell with the drop-down list. If you have multiple cells with drop-down lists that you want to delete, you can use Ctrl+Left click to select them. Click Data Data Validation. On the Settings tab, click Clear All. Click OK.
Hide validation circles To remove the circle from a single cell, enter valid data in the cell. On the Data tab, in the Data Tools group, click the arrow next to Data Validation, and then click Clear Validation Circles.
To quickly remove data validation for a cell, select it, and then go to Data Data Tools Data Validation Settings Clear All.
Select the cells where you want to delete checkboxes and drop-downs (all of them at once or select particular cells while pressing Ctrl). Go to Data Data validation in the Google Sheets menu. This will get rid of all drop-downs first. Then press Delete to clear away the remaining checkboxes from the same selection.
Open the workbook that you want to change or remove the password for. On the Review tab, click Protect Sheet or Protect Workbook. Click Unprotect Sheet or Protect Workbook and enter the password. Clicking Unprotect Sheet automatically removes the password from the sheet.
In the upper left corner of your screen, click on the File tab in your toolbar. Select the Passwords button from the drop-down menu. Delete both of the passwords from the pop-up window that appear so the text boxes are blank. Then, click the OK button to remove the passwords from your Excel spreadsheet.
For example, you might want to check to see if the cell is wide enough to show all your entries. Remove data validation - Select the cell or cells that contain the validation you want to delete, go to Data Data Validation and in the data validation dialog box press Clear All, and then select OK.
Remove password protection from an Excel file To remove password encryption from the file, open the workbook and enter the password in the Password box. Then click File Info Protect Workbook Encrypt with Password. Delete the contents of the Password box, click OK, and then save the file again.
