For impressions, engagement can drive the number of times the content appears in someones feed and the number of times an individual sees the content. For example, if a user clicks on a particular clothing ad, they might start seeing ads for similar products. Users might see the same ad numerous times in their feeds.
Impressions refer to the number of times your ad or content has been displayed on a screen. Lets say that your ad from the previous example popped up on those peoples screens a total of 300 times. That means the number of impressions for that ad is 300.
Impressions are defined by the total number of people your content is visible to. docHub, on the other hand, refers to the number of people who choose to see your content and engage with it through likes, comments, or shares.
Fundamentally, the number of impressions that your ads receive is based on the number of times people search on terms related to your keywords, and how successful your keywords are at triggering your ads instead of the ads of your competitors.
Impressions are the total number of exposures to your advertisement. One person can receive multiple exposures over time. If one person was exposed to an advertisement five times, this would count as five impressions. Impressions are calculated by multiplying the number of Spots by Average Persons.
An impression is counted each time your ad is shown on a search result page or other site on the Google Network. Note: If your ad or keywords arent receiving enough impressions, read Issues with fluctuating impressions. Each time your ad appears on Google or the Google Network, its counted as one impression.
Eligible impressions are estimated using many factors, including targeting settings, approval statuses, and quality. Impression share data is available for campaigns, ad groups, product groups (for Shopping campaigns), and keywords.
