hi in this video were going to resize photos with windows 10 photos this is especially helpful if you need to publish your photo on the web once youve opened the photo in windows photos click the more menu now choose resize right here at the top [Music] here you can see the current size of the photo is 11.6 and i can change it to small medium or large or define dimensions this 2 megapixel one for emails and messages should be good and you can select that and rename the files just so that youre not overwriting it ill call it resized and click save now lets take a look at the file sizes well close the image and here you can see my original photo was 2.57 megabytes and ill click on the resized one and it is 346 kilobytes we can right click on the file and choose properties to find out more about the file and its size im going to do that for each of them and put them side by side to compare them you notice i didnt have any distortion with the resized image at full size screen reso
