Contact us
Badge Count reflects all unread mail from your mail account(s), or just unread mail in your Focused Inbox.
To set this up, go to Outlook Preferences Rules. Then add a new rule, as shown here. I was able to hide the unread count by opening Notifications in System Preferences and under Microsoft Outlook I de-selected the Badge app icon setting.
On the Outlook menu, click Preferences. Under Personal Settings, click Notifications Sounds. Under Message arrival, choose the settings that you want for new messages. Under Sounds, clear the check box next to each sound that you want to turn off.
In Outlook preferences, select Notifications and Sounds. Under Badge count, select either option (the effect is the same regarding the bug). All other settings can be set to preference as they have no impact.
On your Mac, choose Apple menu System Settings, then click Notifications in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.) Go to Application Notifications on the right, click Messages, then do one of the following: Change notifications: Set options, such as the style of notifications or where to show them.
This can be done via the Windows settings. Uncheck the following: Settings Personalisation Taskbar Show badges on taskbar apps (that last item might be hidden under taskbar behaviour).
The numbers over the apps icon or what you call badge count indicate the number of unread push notifications for that app. It is your phones feature and not specifically for OneDrive. You might want to check if you have unread notifications in OneDrive app Me Notifications and check if you have unread messages.
The iOS badge count displays the number of unread notifications within your application, taking the form of a red circle in the upper-right hand corner of the app icon.
