Each type of ACL entry has a number of flags that can be set to true or false in order to specify whether the subject can or cant perform the operation. General ACL permissions. The following flags apply to every ACL: Modify - Allows the subject to add/remove ACL entries.
#sudo setfacl -Rbk Here -R recursively, -b remove all permissions for user/groups -k remove default acl (mask). By issuing this command it will remove the plus (+) sign seen on the ls output, but it will not remove the dot (.) sign from the ls output. #setfattr -x security.
How to Delete ACL Entries From a File Delete ACL entries from a file by using the setfacl command. $ setfacl -d acl-entry-list filename -d. Deletes the specified ACL entries. acl-entry-list. To verify that the ACL entries were deleted from the file, by using the getfacl command. $ getfacl filename.
So, the setfacl command is a Linux utility for setting and modifying file and directory access control lists (ACLs). -m or modify=acl: modify permissions. -x or remove=acl: remove permissions. -b or remove-all: remove all permissions. -d or default: apply default permission to newly created files along the path.
You can drop the access control list by using the DROPACL Procedure. To remove an access control list assignment, use the UNASSIGNACL Procedure. The port range is applicable only to the connect privilege assignments in the ACL.
To completely remove an entire ACL, first remove it from the interface by using the no ip access-group access-list-number command on the specific interface and then use the global configuration no access-list access-list-number command to delete the entire ACL.
setfacl sets (replaces), modifies, or removes the access control list (ACL) to regular files and directories. It also updates and deletes ACL entries for each file and directory that was specified by path. If path was not specified, then file and directory names are read from standard input (stdin).
