hi im rich and im here to give you a little bit of talk about xml schema definitions and how we use them to create kind of better xml uh this is a topic that hadnt really been i i had a lot of trouble finding information on but um one particular book from oreilly is uh which uh is is shown here is a particularly good one where i got a lot of information off of so the the motivation of this thing is that we want to create an xml file right we want to define an xml file in in some way um but we need to to kind of describe whats in it so you can create xml programs that just have a bunch of a bunch of tags in them without a plan but that can cause lots of problems because suddenly every file is kind of different and this is certainly useful in things like um uh like creating a configuration file or something like that but for the most part um you probably want some sort of more formal description of whats going to be in there and you can very quickly start to find different reasons
