in this video im going to cover why i think you should be using flex gap for pretty much everything across your site when it comes to spacing now i know i have a tendency to do things like margin top and margin left to space out things like menu links cards and that sort of thing in videos in the past but nowadays what im going to be doing is pretty much exclusively using this gap feature now of course if youve used grid you already know that gap exists theres a flex gap functionality as well thats super cool of course im going to show you that in just a little bit and its supported by all the major browsers so its totally safe to use so what youre looking at here on your screen is an extremely cramped and messy layout and what im going to do is just demonstrate why i think this is the best way to manage your spacing and its just a really neat feature to be able to take advantage of it requires a tiny tiny little bit of css but its so simple that i dont think its going to

In the Format sidebar, click the Style button near the top, then click one of the default indent buttons in the Alignment section to increase or decrease the indent of an entire paragraph. If the text is in a text box, table or shape, first click the Text tab at the top of the sidebar, then click the Layout button.
That means that there is one inch of space between the text and the edge of the paper. You will probably want to sent one-inch margins as the default on your computer; most computers are set at 1.25 or 1.50 as the default.
Create a custom margin Select Layout Margins. Select Custom Margins. In Margins, use the Up and Down arrows to enter the values you want. Select OK when done.
To restore the original margin settings, click Margins and then click Custom Margins. Change the margins for Top, Bottom, Left, and Right to 1. Then click the Default button and click Yes.

If what you need is not in the options, select Custom Margins. This will launch the Page Setup dialogue box in the middle of your window.
Set document margins in Pages on iPad Tap. Tap More Options at the bottom of the controls. In More Options view, drag the double arrows on the top, bottom, and sides of the document to set the margins. When youre finished, tap Done in the top-left corner to close More Options view and return to the document.
Open the Pages application on your Mac, and then create a new document. Click the Document icon at the top of the window, as shown below. In the sidebar, in the Document Margins section, change the values in the the Top, Bottom, Left, and Right fields to adjust the margins, as shown below.
