If you still want them removed, you can do it by clicking the apple system preferences dock uncheck show indicators for open applications.
Keep in mind that if you click the Close button in the top-left corner of an apps window, the window closes, but the app remains open (a small dot below the apps icon in the Dock indicates that the apps open).
An orange dot next to the Control Center icon in the menu bar indicates the microphone on your Mac is in use; a green dot indicates a camera is in use; a purple dot indicates the system audio is being recorded; and an arrow indicates your location is in use.
From the Apple menu, choose Restart. After your Mac has restarted, choose Apple menu  System Settings, then click Privacy Security in the sidebar. Click Microphone (or Camera). Turn off Privacy Indicators for Microphone (or Camera) Access.
