And submerge it in the water but remembering that the bag is not fully clothed. And we want to dip the bag deeper.
Sometimes, a good airing out is all a bag needs to smell better. Open the bag up and leave it outside for a day. Check it after a few hours to see if the smell has improved.

Use a hand vacuum pump. or press on the bag to expel air. Neither will do the job as well as a vacuum, though. Do the water trick. Fill a basin with water, and push the bag down into it, until the water has come up to the zipper.
Like this: Slowly lower an open bag into a water bath, forcing the air out. Only when the air has been pushed out do you seal the bag and then clip it to the edge. Easy, right?
To do it, you start by placing your food inside a zipper-lock bag, then seal the bag, leaving just the last inch or so of the seal open. Next, you lower the bag into a pot or a tub of water. As the bag gets lowered, water pressure will push air out of the bag through the small opening you left.
