View your file in the online editor by clicking Open next to its name. If you prefer, click on your file instead.

now weamp;#39;re going to access a portacat with a huber needle so kat take it away so i could show you how to access this through the skin but thatamp;#39;s not going to help you very much visually if youamp;#39;ve never worked with a portacath so iamp;#39;m actually going to take the skin off okay so this is our portacath and this is the line that actually goes into the subclavium so what i have here is a little rubber port and thatamp;#39;s where we stick the huber needle and it is a 90 degree needle so this is going to lay flush against the skin okay now weamp;#39;re not going to go through sterile technique and all of those things weamp;#39;ve done that in other videos and youamp;#39;ll learn that for real when you actually have to do this however weamp;#39;re going to go through what it actually looks like to access it okay so i feel under the patientamp;#39;s skin that this is sticking up okay so it lays under that subcutaneous layer so i can feel that this is sticking
