You can easily create a shadow on all sides with the spread property. Im not sure what border rule you are referring to, but you can extend a box shadow on all sides by keeping the offset values at 0 and giving a positive value to the spread, which is the optional 4th value.
The trick is to give the element with box-shadow and its previous sibling positioning, then give the previous sibling a background color and set it to have a higher z-index so that its stacked on top of the element with box-shadow , in effect covering its top shadow.
box-shadow: h-offset v-offset blur spread color; box-shadows values: h-offset: It is required and used to set the position of the shadow horizontally. The positive value is used to set the shadow on right side of the box and a negative value is used to set the shadow on the left side of the box.
You can customize these values by editing theme.boxShadow or theme.extend.boxShadow in your tailwind.config.js file. If a DEFAULT shadow is provided, it will be used for the non-suffixed shadow utility. Any other keys will be used as suffixes, for example the key 2 will create a corresponding shadow-2 utility.
To add a shadow to text, you can use the CSS text-shadow property. The text-shadow property takes three values: The first value is the horizontal offset of the shadow. A positive value will move the shadow to the right, while a negative value will move the shadow to the left.
You can achieve this with using text-stroke (creating the border around the text) and using text-shadow to set the correct offset for the color blue as shadow color. The color property should be set the same as the background-color property of the surrounding element to get the effect.
To create a CSS inner shadow, you must use the box-shadow property with the inset keyword. This is because if the inset keyword is not specified, by default, the shadow will appear as a drop shadow on the outside of the HTML element frame.
