Today we are using the ODM TTK 650 fiber optic inspection test kit for single-mode fiber. Here we have an optical power meter, a dual laser source, a visual fault locator, a video inspection probe with multiple tips, a single mode fiber cable an LC termination, LC to LC adapters, fiber optic cleaning tools charging cables and batteries, and the manual. Typically we see three kinds of fiber in the field that require testing, 9 micron single mode, 50 micron multimode, 62 and a half micron multimode. Here were performing the visual inspection tests to determine cleanliness on the fiber Here we can see the fiber has failed the test and therefore needs cleaning. To clean a fiber well use the fiber optic cleaning tools that are included with the ODM TTK 650 and we will now perform the visual inspection test again. We can now see that the fiber passes
