hi Iamp;#39;m Daniel Hubert and Iamp;#39;m a safety representative here at ASC and today weamp;#39;re gonna be talking about removing and identifying sharps in the shop so what is a sharp a sharp can be any surface or material with an edge or a berth that can cut you if brush up against your skin most commonly sharps are found on work tables scrap metal and sawhorses work tables and sawhorses are inspected weekly by the Safety Department identified sharps will be circled with a bright yellow marker and will need to be grinded off immediately however you should always double-check your work area and grind down any sharps that may have been left over so identify a sharp first make sure youamp;#39;re wearing your cut resistant gloves then simply brush down the surface of the material making sure to get the corners and the sides if your glove gets caught youamp;#39;ve found a sharp if you find a sharp on a work table or a sawhorse make sure that you grind it down immediately s
