hi iamp;#39;m chris smith and this is a short walk through on how to base 64 encode and decode some text values to do this weamp;#39;re going to look at using the retool utilities which is at retool.com utilities and these are free easy to use utilities for developers for all sorts of things converting data importing exporting data between different systems so you go to that site click on the base64 decoder and from here if you already have some base64 value you can input it and itamp;#39;ll decode the text to start iamp;#39;ll just show you how we can just type in some text here my test text and see if you click out of that field itamp;#39;ll automatically encode it here in the bottom so then you can take that base64 value and use it however you want it and if we go the other way we can just paste that in and see that it has decoded it so super helpful little tool hopefully this video is helpful for you let me know if you have any questions in the comments below and check

Base64 is most commonly used as a MIME (Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions) transfer encoding for email. Base64 images are primarily used to embed image data within other formats like HTML, CSS, or JSON.
Encoding data into base64 format Base64 uses the characters + and / , which may have special meanings in URLs. Because Data URLs have no URL path segments or query parameters, this encoding is safe in this context.
Base64 encoding is a text encoding string that represents binary data into an ASCII string, allowing it to carry data stored in a binary format across channels. To better understand base64, we first need to understand data and channels.
It encodes 3 bytes into 4 selected from a reduced 64-character alphabet. It is a sensible default choice. It can be included literally in JSON, HTML/XML attributes, CSS and, of course, URLs. All of this means base64 data can end up in QR codes, where a URL containing a blob of data is encoded.
There are just three steps to follow: Get the QR data stored in Hexadecimal value (RAWSTRING) from table EDOSINV. Convert this value to String value. Convert the string value obtained from 2nd step to Base64.
What is Radix 64 Encoding? Radix 64 encoding allows binary data stored in octets (i.e. bytes) to be expressed as printable characters.
