CARRY HAS REAPPEARED AT EVERY SESSION FOR THE PAST 10 YEARS WITH NO LUCK.. BUT TONIGHT.. JUST LIKE THAT.. CONSTITUTIONAL CARRY WILL GO TO THE GOVERNORS DESK FOR FINAL APPROVAL BEFORE BECOMING TEXAS LAW. 3 18 Ayes and 13 no votes. The bill finally passes. AFTER MORE THAN 8 HOURS OF DEBATE.. THE TEXAS SENATE APPROVED HOUSE BILL 1927.. ALSO KNOWN AS CONSTITUTIONAL CARRY. This bill, to me is a restoration of the belief in and trust of our citizens. HB 1927 will now head to the governors desk, and if signed.. It will become law. IF SIGNED, IT WILL ALLOW TEXANS over the age of 21 TO CARRY HANDGUNS IF THEYRE NOT PROHIBITED BY STATE OR FEDERAL LAW FROM POSSESSING A GUN-- OPENLY OR CONCEALED WITHOUT A LICENSE. BUT NOT EVERYONE ON THE SENATE FLOOR WANTED IT TO GET THIS FAR. This bill is not, in my opinion, a form of justice or liberty. Actually, it practically gives anyone an ability to carry, which in my opinion makes it irresponsible and creating a path for more gun violence. SENATOR SARA
