How to slice text in Photoshop Step 1: Add your text to the document. Step 2: Convert the Type layer into a smart object. Step 3: Select the Rectangle Tool. Step 4: Set the Tool Mode to Path. Step 5: Draw a path around the bottom half of the text. Step 6: Choose the Direct Selection Tool. Step 7: Deselect the path.
To apply a stroke, select the text layer in the Layers panel, then go to Layer Layer Style Stroke. You can also access this option by right-clicking on the text layer and choosing Layer Style Stroke. This feature works with any font in Photoshop.
Inside the toolbox, right-click on layer and choose Rasterize layer from the options. Select the Lasso tool from the toolbar option. Then select part of the image that you want to remove. Hit Delete.
You can use any of the Lasso tools and then the Quick Selection tool to cut out complex shapes, or even make two separate selections at the same time (for example, if you wanted to cut out just two eyes but not the rest of the face).
Select the Layers tab from the toolbar section on the right side located on the interface. Inside the toolbox, right-click on layer and choose Rasterize layer from the options. Select the Lasso tool from the toolbar option. Then select part of the image that you want to remove.
Choose Edit Stroke (Outline) Selection.
To use this feature, select Layers Split into Letters in the menu. Note that you cannot merge the resulting layers back to create one text layer (except using the Edit Undo command).
Select the text layer and navigate to Layer Smart Objects Convert to Smart Object. Make sure the layer is still selected and Edit Transform Warp. Once the grid appears over the text, you can click and drag to manipulate it. There are also options in the Warp dropdown for placing your text along an Arc.
