hey everyone Ive got a quick 365 ninja tip for you if you are using PowerPoint 2013 so in PowerPoint 2013 the standard slide size is a sixteen by nine resolution but you might need another size or resolution of your slide and luckily its really easy to change that so go to the design tab and click slide size now you have a built-in choice of a standard 4 by 3 resolution but you can also pick custom slide size if lets say youre making a poster for an academic conference you will enter your custom width and height and if you have multiple slides in your presentation you can choose to start that slide size from the first slide or any slide choose portrait or landscape and click OK and now we have a pop-up that tells us that because were scaling to a new slide size we can either maximize our content to fit the screen or scale down our content to fit the screen so depending on whether youre moving to a bigger or smaller size you can decide which one to pick here so now as you can see

Proper noun The recommendation that each slide in a presentation should contain a maximum of eight lines of text with a maximum of eight words in each line.
In Powerpoint you need to select 'Custom' then type the dimensions given below. If A1 seems a daunting size to work with you could make your page A3. When it is printed you will need to ask for it to be printed A1 (200%).
Landscape Orientation: In the Size section enter 16 for the width and 10 for the height. This will format your poster for 17” wide x 11” high paper size. Portrait Orientation: In the Size section enter 10 for the width and 16 for the height.
The 16:9 widescreen setting is the default value for new presentations you create. When you change the slide size for a presentation, the size you choose only applies to that presentation. You can also change the orientation of all the slides in your presentation.
Change the slide size On the Design tab, in the Customize group at the far right end, click Slide Size. Click Custom Slide Size. In the Slides sized for list, click the size you want to use, or use the Width and Height boxes to select custom sizes. Click OK.
See the example above: In this example, going from left to right you see the 4:3 (usually 1024 pixels wide x 768 high) ratio screen size and on the right the 16:9 (usually 1920 pixels wide x 1080 pixels high) ration screen size.
PowerPoint has two ratios to fit these sizes: Standard is a 4:3 ratio and is more square. Widescreen is a 16:9 ratio and is more rectangular.
