Ill be demoing how to record a slideshow with PowerPoint desktop and office 365 so I go to the file tab and way down at the bottom I click options and were going to enable the recording tab which many people dont know about so go to customize ribbon here and youre gonna scroll down and theres this recording little checkbox I want you to click that and were gonna turn on the magical recording tab so now up on the ribbon theres a recording now look at all these options and were gonna go to the first one and choose record slideshow click that button so Im in this special recording mode now look at this Ive got a little video at the lower right so I can record myself while Im talking to students I can turn the video on or off so theres off theres on I can turn my microphone on or off as well and what you see here is a record stop and a replay plus a set of digital tools done here for inking or drawing so lets click record it gives me a countdown getting ready hey class welco

After you create your PowerPoint presentation, you can save it as a video to share with others. Select File Export Create a video. You can upload an existing PowerPoint that will play back with your slides and narration. If you have existing PowerPoint (PPT) presentations that you would like to have in your VidGrid account, you can simply upload your presentation as a video file.
To set the PowerPoint slide timing to 10-second transition across all slides, select the Slide Show tab in the PowerPoint toolbar and click or tap Set up slide show. Choose the Browsed at a kiosk option and click or tap OK to save the setting. Return to the toolbar and click the Rehearse Timings option.
Try it! Open the slide that you want to put the screen recording on. On the Insert tab of the ribbon, select Screen Recording. On the Control Dock, choose Select Area (or if you want to select the entire screen for recording, press Windows logo key+Shift+F). Select Record. Your video is added to the slide.
To record slide timings: When you are ready to run through your show, click the SLIDE SHOW tab and Rehearse Timings. PowerPoint opens Slide Show view and begins recording a time for the first slide. On the Recording toolbar, look here for the elapsed time on the current slide.
In Normal view, click the slide that you want to set the timing for. On the Transitions tab, in the Timing group, under Advance Slide, select the After check box, and then enter the number of seconds that you want the slide to appear on the screen.
