- (Neil) Hey everybody. Neil Malek from Knack Training here bringing you another Everyday Office video. And in todays video, Id like to explain how OneNote can help you in the next PowerPoint presentation you have to sit through. So, if somebody gave you their slide deck, or they gave you a PDF of their slide deck before the presentation began so that you could follow along with that content, being able to see the slides themselves in front of you on a piece of paper or on a digital surface like this is not that useful, to be perfectly honest. Because, of course, OneNote is my note taking device of preference you can see here that Ive got my information about my meeting already here in this notebook. Maybe, if Im sitting through a very specific meeting, I might even go up to the Meeting Details drop-down menu up at the top of the screen, choose a specific meeting thats coming up on the calendar, lets say this one at 10 oclock, and drop the details of that meeting directly into

PowerPoint presentation notes are meant to help you remember some of your slideshows finer details in a quickly accessible format. During a presentation, the notes show up on the screen in Presenter view, but not on the screen of anybody else seeing the slideshow.
To activate the feature, click the CC button in the navigation box when you start presenting. You can also use keyboard shortcuts, which are command + Shift + c on Mac and Ctrl + Shift + c in Chrome OS/Windows.
Avoid paragraphs, quotations and even complete sentences. Limit your slides to five lines of text and use words and phrases to make your points.
