Right-click on the slide where you want to change the background and select Change background. To the right of Color, click the box and choose a color, then click Done. You can also add an image found on the Internet or saved in Google Drive or on your computer.
Change background image On your computer, open a presentation in Google Slides. Choose a slide. At the top, click Slide Change background. To the right of Image, click Choose. Choose an image, then click Select. To add the image to one slide, click Done. To add the image to the whole presentation, click Add to theme.

In the Format Background pane, select Picture or texture fill. Select File. In the Insert Picture dialog box, choose the picture you want to use and then select Insert. Note: PowerPoint resizes the image to fill the entire slide background.
When changing your PowerPoint slide backgrounds, there are four options: solid fill, gradient fill, picture or texture fill, or pattern fill. Each option offers different adjustments to fine-tune your background, depending on its type.
