While a PIP can be a serious matter, it doesnt necessarily mean that you should start packing up your things just yet. A PIP is designed to help employees improve their performance and address any areas where they may be falling short.
The purpose of the performance improvement plan is to provide clear instructions for poorly performing employees about how they can improve. Performance plans also help employees set goals for achieving business objectives.
