[Music] All the work we do is represented by data. Dates, people, process, measurement, things, its all just data. And a sheet captures it in one place, so you and everyone else can see your data, contextualize it, and work on it, together. Sheets are oriented by columns and rows, but you have options to look at your sheet in different ways based on how you prefer to work. Theyre the powerhouse behind everything else you do in Smartsheet. So, getting the basics down is pretty key, and its also pretty easy. To get started, you can build from a blank sheet, pick up best practices from a template, or bring in your work from another tool. Lets start from scratch in Grid View. First stop, columns. Smartsheet is a bunch of column types for all different parts of your work. The primary column is special. Think of it as the headline for each row in your sheet. Im going to use it to keep track of tasks. Next, Ill add the framework I need to make these tasks happen. Like whos on deck to

Whenever you need the sheet name you need to type =SheetName in the cell and you will get workbook and sheet name.

Steps to Open a Workbook using VBA To start the code, use the Workbooks object. Type a dot (.) after that and select the Open method from the list. Specify the file path in the first argument and make sure to enclose it in double quotation marks. In the end, run the code to open the workbook.
Where to Put the VBA Code Go to the Developer tab. Click on the Visual Basic option. In the Project Explorer pane in the VB Editor, right-click on any object for the workbook in which you want to insert the code. Go to Insert and click on Module. Copy and paste the code in the module window.
On the Sheet tab bar, right-click the sheet tab that you want to rename, and then click Rename Sheet. Select the current name, and then type the new name. Tip: You can include the name of the sheet when you print the worksheet. On the Insert tab, in the Text group, click Header Footer.

Example #1 First, we have declared the variable as Worksheet. Next, we have set the reference to the variable as Sales using the worksheet object. Now, the variable Ws holds the reference of the worksheet Sales. Now, using the Ws variable, we have renamed the worksheet Sales Sheet.
